Check-In

To ensure on-time departures, your cooperation is required for the following:

Passengers are required to check-in 1 hour before the flight departs. This is also to allow for Transport Canada required manifesting and freight loading. If you are not checked in 1 hour prior to departure, your boarding may be denied. A confirmed passenger that does not check-in or shows up will forfeit that portion of their ticket and it will be voided. Tickets that are purchased for flights that depart within 24 hours are non-refundable and cannot be changed.

If you happen to miss your flight, it will be your responsibility to rebook your flight for the following day or whenever you decide to travel. North-Wright Airways will only transfer passengers to the next available flight for weather or mechanical delays.

Reservations are still required and as long as tickets are paid in full fare, your seat will be guaranteed. All reservations that are made and not paid within 24 hours of departure will be put on stand-by. Seats will be only be confirmed when payment is received.

Standby tickets can only be purchased 1 hour prior to departure and do not guarantee any seats.

Live Animals

Please click here for more details when traveling with your pets or shipping live animals.

Traveling with Infant

The infant (aged 0-23 months) may travel free of charge when the infant is held on an accompanying adult’s/escort’s (18 years of age and above) lap. An infant for whom a seat is purchased must be properly secured in an approved child restraint device and will be assessed the applicable fare.

Infants cannot travel without an accompanying adult.

Traveling with Children

Children at the ages of 2-11 years old must pay for the child’s fare and must be accompanied by an adult or use our new Unaccompanied Minor service (only available for 5-11 years old).

If the child is 12 years old and older, they must pay for the adult’s fare and can travel without an escort.

Unaccompanied Minor Service

Children, aged 5-11 years old, can travel without an accompanying adult as long as the guardian/parent uses the Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service. This is a supervision service provided by North-Wright Airways. There will be a $50 UM fee charged per minor, per direction and an application form must be signed prior to the child’s travel. Please call our Reservations Agent at 867-587-2288 X 1000 if you are interested in using this service or email us at reservations@north-wrightairways.com.

We require up to 48 hrs advance notice, to fully accommodate this service.

Seating Arrangement for Children

North-Wright Airways, to the best of our abilities, will assign seating arrangements for children, 14 years old and under, upon check-in. If seats are not assigned prior to check-in, upon calling passengers to the gate for boarding; North-Wright will allow children with escorts to be first in line to claim seats so that they are located in the seating nearest to the parent or guardian.

For more information, please refer to our Tariff Manual.

Baggage Policy

The complimentary baggage allowance for North-Wright Airways allows customers to have a combined weight of 60 pounds. Anything over 60 pounds is considered excess and fees will apply.

Not all of North-Wright’s aircraft have the ability to accept carry-on baggage. Following Transport Canada regulations, the only aircraft that allows carry-on or unchecked baggage is the Beech 1900D. Carry-on baggage is limited to 10 pounds and will count towards the customer’s total baggage allowance.

Passengers, on space-available tickets or standby tickets, have a total combined baggage allowance of 30 pounds.

Freight

Freight will be accepted during normal business hours. All freight accepted up to 1 hour prior to departure will be shipped on that flight if there is cargo space available. However, any freight received within an hour before departure will go on the next available flight with cargo space available.

Dangerous Goods

As per Transport Canada regulations, all DG shipments must be accompanied with the appropriate paperwork completed, and the carrier must be advised more than 24 hours prior to shipment occurring. There will be a $50 processing fee associated with all Dangerous Goods Shipments.
