Bellanca Pacemaker Set to Return to NWT

Ever thought of how bush flying was, back in the 1920’s?

On July 5-7 2019, North-Wright Airways is planning to recreate that nostalgic moment alongside its founder, Warren Wright’s 1929 Bellanca Pacemaker, in Norman Wells, Northwest Territories. It is deemed to be the “Great Northern Fly-In” as everyone is invited to join the event in a Roaring 20’s theme. Relive this momentous era by dressing up in the 20’s style and bringing your knowledge and excitement to the event.

If you have the plane, you are in the game! Feel like an ole’ Bush Pilot by joining us in flying to a small town in the Sahtu Region called Norman Wells. We can accommodate floats, wheels as well as historical travellers on commercial airlines. DOT Lake is the licensed water aerodrome listed in the CFS. We can also provide information on packaged rates out of Edmonton or Yellowknife if you prefer to fly commercially.

The three-day event will include Bush Pilot BBQ, Pancake Breakfasts, Fly-In Poker Rally and a Roaring 20’s Prohibition Dinner & Gala.
